Semester II Schedule Changes

Work has been done over the past several weeks on student schedules. As a rule, very minor changes are made to core classes (math, ELA, science and social studies). The majority of students will be given new extended core classes for Semester II.

This year, there are a number of exceptions to what was just stated. Though there is not a firm date for students to return to school, we have adjusted some schedules in preparation for in-person learning.

Please note the following:

  • 6th grade – Students will remain in their current team, but be grouped together in cohorts. The make-up of students in a class may change, but students will continue to be assigned to the same teachers they had for Semester I. Creating these cohorts could only be done in 6th grade because they are teamed together.
  • 7th grade – No major changes in core class schedules. Any adjustments to schedules will be made when students return for in-person learning.
  • 8th grade – We have added a section of Algebra; we now will offer 4 sections Other than this change, there will be no major changes in core class schedules unless caused due to adding the extra Algebra I class.  Any adjustments to schedules will be made when students return for in-person learning.
  • Extended Core Classes – most of these classes will change at the semester. Students in band/orchestra will remain in those classes for Semester II.

Semester II schedules will be available for students in Student/Parent Connect on Sunday, January 24th.
