Parents,
As we begin this new school year, we wanted to take a few minutes to share a collective commitment. As you are aware, we have seen an increase in vaping among teenagers through the United States. This is more than a Bryant Middle School concern, more than a Dearborn Public Schools concern; it has become a concern for all of us.
One of our primary goals is student safety, and this covers their health. We are also in the business of educating your children. It is our intent to educate our students on the dangers and permanent health risks of vaping. Discipline consequences are only a small piece and are not meant to be a scare tactic. We would prefer to be more proactive on the educational front. In order for us to be successful in this endeavor, we need your help and support.
Please speak to your children about the dangers of vaping. We are hopeful that together we can have a positive impact on helping our students / your children make good decisions about life choices.
