Summer Discovery Week 3 Updates
July 11, 2025
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are thrilled to share that it’s been another exciting and successful week in our Summer Discovery Program at Bryant!
Our sixth-grade students enjoyed an enriching field trip to the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA), where they explored fascinating exhibits and connected classroom learning to real-world experiences. All students continue to participate in engaging activities during enrichment classes, which are filled with hands-on projects, reading, writing, math, and science, keeping both their minds and creativity active.
We’re also excited to announce that 7th and 8th-grade students will have the opportunity to visit the DIA on Friday, July 25th. More details and permission slips for that trip will be sent home soon.
Looking ahead to next week, students will be going on a river tour aboard the Diamond Jack. Permission slips are being sent home today and must be returned to your child’s teacher by Wednesday, July 16th.
For the river tour:
- Students should bring a bagged lunch. We will eat lunch at the Riverfront before boarding the boat.
- Boarding will begin at 12:30 PM. Please remind your child to follow all directions given for a fun and exciting experience.
- Students will be back at Bryant by 3 PM.
Summer Discovery continues to be a fantastic opportunity for students to strengthen communication skills, sharpen academic foundations in math and reading, and create lasting memories through fun and educational experiences.
