Summer Discovery Week 2 Updates

Dear Summer Discovery Families,

We have wrapped up another exciting week of Summer Discovery! Our second week started with a fantastic field trip to High Velocity, where students enjoyed a variety of engaging activities and had a wonderful time.

On Tuesday, we welcomed the Exotic Zoo to Bryant. Students had the opportunity to see and learn about various animals up close, and each was able to pet an animal of their choice. It was an exciting and educational experience for everyone!

In addition to field trips and special events, students have also been enjoying swimming during gym class, which has quickly become a favorite part of the week. It’s been a fun way to stay active, cool off, and build confidence in the water.

Looking ahead to next week, 6th-grade students will be participating in a field trip to the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA). Permission slips for this trip are being sent home today, Thursday, July 3rd, and should be returned to your child’s teacher by Wednesday, July 9th. Students will need to bring a bagged lunch for the trip. We will depart the school at 9:30 a.m. and return to Bryant at 1:00 p.m.

We’re also excited to announce a weekly attendance incentive! Each week, students who attend all five days of Summer Discovery will be given a prize. We want to celebrate and encourage consistent attendance, as each day brings new learning and fun.

Overall, Summer Discovery has been a tremendous success so far. Students have been swimming, participating in a wide range of fun activities, and engaging meaningfully in enrichment sessions.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me at Bryant at (313) 827-2900.

Thank you for your continued support!

Sincerely,
