Karen King, a board member of the Yankee Ladies Women in Aviation chapter, announces the annual Girls in Aviation Day on September 21st at Detroit Metropolitan Airport (31705 E Service Dr., Building 530, Detroit, MI 48242). Check-in is at 8:30 a.m., and activities run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Hosted by Women in Aviation International, this event is for middle and high school girls interested in aviation. The goal is to encourage more women to join the aviation and aerospace industries.
