We hope this letter finds you in good health. On Monday, November 7th (4:00 – 7:00 p.m.) and Wednesday, November 9th (3:45 – 6:45 p.m.), we will be hosting fall Parent/Teacher Conferences. Communication between school and parents is vital in your child’s academic success. In order to ensure we are providing valuable information to address your child’s needs, we would like to share the following information to our families regarding conferences:
- P/T Conferences are open for all parents, however, teachers will not be able to meet with every parent due to time constraints. Some teachers have pre-scheduled conferences and will follow a set schedule while other teachers will use more of an open house format (waiting in line outside the teacher’s classroom) and meet with parents as time permits. If you would like to meet with a teacher and that teacher is not available, please contact him/her to schedule an appointment at an agreed upon time.
- Report cards will be available to parents during P/T Conferences and can be picked up at the school by a parent. Any report card that is not picked up will be mailed to parents later this week.
- Many teachers will meet with students using a team approach or may use a student-led model. If you would like to meet individually with one of your child’s teachers, you may need to schedule a time other than on the evening of P/T Conferences.
For your planning purposes, the following teachers will not be available for conferences this week: Mrs. Lessel, Mrs. Wischmeyer and Mrs. Dagher. Please contact the office if you’d like to be contacted to schedule a meeting.
At Bryant, the education of your child is one of the most important goals we share together. We feel your time to meet personally with your son or daughter’s teacher to discuss academics and behaviors is key to ensure a successful school year. The number of conferences scheduled necessitates a rather tight scheduling situation. If you cannot keep the scheduled appointment, please contact your son/daughter’s teacher.
We look forward to meeting with parents during Parent Teacher Conferences this week and appreciate the opportunity to meet with as many parents as possible.
