Parent Letter – Cafeteria Situation

Parents,

Yesterday, there was a medical emergency in the kitchen at Bryant with one of our employees. Mr. David Voss collapsed and suffered a heart attack in between lunch periods. Emergency responders as well as Bryant staff members responded and provided first aid; he was transported to a local hospital to receive medical attention. Unfortunately, he did not respond to treatments and passed away.

Mr. Voss was a great member of the kitchen team and part of our Bryant family. He did his job to support the students and staff members here at Bryant. We will miss his dedication and kindness. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Voss family.

Today, grief counselors were on hand to support both staff and students. In the coming days, we will continue to support our students with our building social worker (Mrs.Nicole Mark) and counselors (Mr. Kevin Renko and Mrs. Mary Gass). Please feel free to contact us at (313) 827-2900, if you need further assistance.

Mr. Andrew Denison
Principal
