The Big Read Dearborn

The Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), designed to revitalize the role of literature in American culture and to encourage citizens to read for pleasure and enlightenment. In collaboration with many local partners, Dearborn Public Library is one of 75 organizations that received a grant in May 2015 to host a Big Read program in their community. The Big Read Dearborn, themed Dreaming Dreams No Mortal Ever Dared to Dream Before, will focus on the great tales and poems of Edgar Allan Poe and will take place in February and March 2016. This literary adventure will provide opportunities for the community to “get to know Poe.” All events are free and open to all ages and require no registration unless otherwise noted.
