On Tuesday, November 12, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m., we will be hosting our fall Parent/Teacher Conferences. Effective communication between the school and parents is essential for your child’s academic success. To ensure we provide valuable information that addresses your child’s needs, please review the following details regarding the conferences:
Parent/Teacher Conferences are open to all parents; however, due to time constraints, teachers may not be able to meet with every parent. Some teachers will have pre-scheduled conferences and will adhere to a set schedule, while others will adopt an open house format, allowing parents to wait in line outside the teacher’s classroom and meet as time allows. If you wish to meet with a teacher who is unavailable during this time, please reach out to them to arrange an appointment at a mutually convenient time.
Report cards will be available for parents to pick up during the conferences at the school. Any report cards not collected will be mailed to parents. Many teachers will conduct meetings using a team approach or may implement a student-led model. If you prefer to meet individually with your child’s teacher, you may need to arrange a time outside of the Parent/Teacher Conferences.
At Bryant, your child’s education is a shared priority. We believe that personal meetings with your child’s teacher to discuss both academics and behavior are crucial for a successful school year. Given the high volume of scheduled conferences, time slots will be limited. If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, please contact your child’s teacher.
Before the Covid-19 pandemic, 80% of Bryant parents attended Parent/Teacher Conferences. Last year, we saw approximately 65% participation. We hope to see an increase in parent participation this year, so please consider joining us to meet with your child’s teachers. At the very least, we encourage you to stop by, collect your child’s report card, and meet with their counselor.
We look forward to meeting with parents during the Parent/Teacher Conferences this week and appreciate the opportunity to engage with as many of you as possible.
