Please join our virtual Ok2Say Parent Meeting on October 27, 2022, at 6:00 p.m.
This seminar provides practical tools, including internet safety tips. We address: 1) the impact of digital footprints; 2) the risk of sharing photos with embedded location information; 3) the possible privacy risks of different apps; 4) the potential dangers and legal ramifications of sexting; 5) cyberbully warning signs and developing a plan of action, and 6) the OK2SAY student safety program.
This seminar overviews OK2SAY, the student safety programming that has been presented to more than 2 million Michigan students in kindergarten – 12th grade. Our student safety
programming is developmentally appropriate and focuses on the importance of making safe and smart choices in a technologically evolving world. It also explains the OK2SAY hotline and why it is an essential component of school safety.
OK2SAY empowers students to break the code of silence and submit a confidential tip on criminal activities or potential harm directed at students, school employees, or schools. When students speak out against harmful behavior, they equip authorities with the information needed to respond to threats and avert tragedy. And that’s a good thing for Michigan
schools, communities, and families.
Please learn more about this critical program by visiting the OK2SAY website and discussing it with your children.
