Nominations for DHS Freshman Student Council Representatives (2020-21)

8th graders at Bryant Middle School needs to choose 8 students to serve the 9th grade class as Student Council Representatives at Dearborn High School during the 2020-21 school year. This election is only for Representatives. The election for class officers will take place during the fall at DHS. Representatives are elected for a one-year term of office.

QUALIFICATIONS TO SERVE ON THE STUDENT COUNCIL:

a. Having a good citizenship record this school year as determined by the Middle School Administration.

b. Exhibits the District’s Core Values (Honesty, Integrity, Responsibility, Respect for Self and others, and Courtesy)

c. Must maintain a 3.0 average next year at D.H.S..

d. Agreeing to carry out to the best of his/her abilities all duties and responsibilities of the office he/she is seeking.

e. Agreeing to obey the regulations and act in accordance with the policy and traditions of D.H.S.

f. Agreeing that in the event he/she shall fail any class during his/her term of office, he/she willingly resigns at the request of the board of review consisting of sponsor, two class officers, and the teacher of the class he/she is failing.

g. Agreeing to have his/her petition and credentials passed on to the student council.

Student Council representatives must serve on at least one Student Council committee, attend a majority of Student Council meetings and serve as a member for their class council. 

If you are interested in declaring to be a candidate, you must enroll by completing the Google Form that was emailed to each student through your district gmail account. You must delcare your candidacy before Thursday, May 14th.

The Student Council election will take place on Tuesday, May 19th to Thursday, May 21st by electronic ballot sent to each student through the school gmail account.
