Bryant School students have been invited to participate in the 19th District Court Law Day Essay Contest. The 19th District Court and Dearborn Rotary Club will offer generous prizes for successful participants in grades 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th. First place winners in each of the four grades will be awarded a $100 Barnes and Noble gift card. Runners-up will receive a $75 gift card and third place finishers a $50 gift card. In addition, one honorable mention recipient from each grade will receive a $20 Barnes and Noble gift card. Complete contest rules and regulations were sent home with students; a complete packet of information is available in the school office.
The 2015 contest topic: The Magna Carta and its impact on present day law and society today.
The entries must be original student work. All essays are due to the 19th District Courthouse by Wednesday, April 1, 2015 by 4:00 p.m. Winners will be announced by Thursday, April 30th.
