8th graders can Test Out

Eighth grade students who did not earn high school credit in Algebra or Geoscience have the opportunity to "test out" and still earn credit for high school. There will be exams given on Thursday, August 28th and Friday August 29th at Fordson.

.Students should get a form from the Bryant Office.

School Pictures

All students will be photographed on Tuesday, September 9, 2008. Parents may choose to order a picture packet. Students will bring home a flyer on Friday, September 5th. Additional flyers will be available in the school office.

First Marking Period

The first marking period ends on October 17th. Report cards will be handed out at Parent/Teacher conferences on October 28th and 30th.

Automated Attendance Calls

As always, please call 827-2901 before 8:00 a.m. if your child is going to be absent from school. Those calls are processed and your child’s attendance is updated in our computer.

If your child is marked absent and we have not received a call by 9:00 a.m., an automated telephone call will be placed to your primary telephone number, reminding you to call. We will repeat this procedure at 10:00 a.m. Beginning at 10:30 we will call telephone numbers on the emergency card.

Teaching changes for 08-09

Mrs. Boucher retired and Mrs. Catlado will now teach 8th grade language arts. Mrs. Stanewitz will join the staff to teach French and Spainish to the 7th and 8th grades. . Mrs. Tunstal moved over from Howard to teach Social Studies in the 7th grade.

Information for 2008-09 school year

Packets will be mailed to the homes of all new 6th graders and returning 7th and 8th graders. The packets will contain emergency cards, physical forms for 6th graders and other information regarding the beginning of the school year. Students will receive their schedule on the 28th of August if they turn in all required documents.

There was some confusion regarding the date of pick up. It is Thursday the 28th.

Bryant fall sports

Boys footbal coaches are Mr. Walters and Mr. Thostenson. The first home game is October 9th at 3:30pm.

Girls basketball- coach Mr. Cialone. The first home basketball game is September 18th.

Cheerleading- coach SLR. The girls are preparing for an exciting season.
