Empty Bowls:
Art class and Art Club Students are participating in the Empty Bowls community service event.  The event raises funds for people in our local community who are having trouble putting food on the table.  There is a 5$ suggestion for donation and in return you get a meal of soup, bread, coffee, tea, or water,  a student made piece of artwork, and most importantly you are helping those in need.

Hope to see you there!

H1N1 Information

During the past few weeks there have been plenty of news stories about the H1N1 flu. This information, coming from various sources, tends to heighten concerns and often contributes to rumors.

To help answer questions and provide accurate information, the district is working closely with the Wayne County Health Department, the State of Michigan Health Department, and the Center for Disease Control to monitor flu conditions and modify existing plans in the event that a large number of students are absent due to the H1N1 flu. We will make decisions based on the recommendations of these public health organizations and will keep you updated with new information as it becomes available.

 Dearborn Education Foundation

The Education Foundation has raised and returned over one million dollars to our classrooms.  It is an exciting time for Foundation and we hope you will be part in raising the million! Here are some easy ways to support our efforts.

 Failures are not allowed

At Bryant our philosophy is to not allow students to fail. The teachers allow test make-ups when necessary. Teachers are always willing to meet with students either before or after school to help. Every Tuesday and Thursday there is Homework Help from 3-4pm. Students may attend with a parent permission form. We have reading help with our Voyager program for student who have difficulty with reading. We have started a math intervention class for students who struggle with math. The only reason for a student to fail a class is if they choose to do so.

Automated Attendance Calls

As always, please call 827-2901 before 8:00 a.m. if your child is going to be absent from school. Those calls are processed and your child’s attendance is updated in our computer.

If your child is marked absent and we have not received a call by 9:00 a.m., an automated telephone call will be placed to your primary telephone number, reminding you to call. We will repeat this procedure at 10:00 a.m. Beginning at 10:30 we will call telephone numbers on the emergency card.
